The "footprint" of this 4' tripod is 45% larger than a 3' model and
provides a sturdy mount for the TV satellite dish, yet it is light-weight and compact, to
afford easy storage in the confined storage spaces of an RV. Made of rust-resistant
materials, it is built to last for years of use. The easily adjustable legs quickly
adapt to the uneven ground surfaces of many campsites, and the built-in level makes
accurate set-ups very easy. Will accept most standard, TV
satellite dishes (see photos) that have a 1 5/8" diameter mounting mast. If you

WHICH STYLE DISH DO YOU HAVE?
95% of the dishes in use at this time are the style
"A" below. However, DirecTV and others have begun to use the style
"B" below. Using this tripod with the style "B" dish requires an
extension fitting for the mast that allows the LNB arm to reach the lowest degree
settings.

standard, residential-style satellite dish from Dish Net, DirecTV, or similar, (see
photos), then you should know it is clumsy, awkward and the adjustments are hard to
make. The Satellite Dish Conversion Kit shown below is designed to take the hassle

Everything needed to make the conversion is included in
the kit, along with detailed instructions.
It only takes 15 to 20 minutes to make the changes, using simple tools.
All components are zinc plated to resist rusting.
This kit will modify all, standard, residential-type, satellite
dishes (see photo), both single and multiple LNB types.
The modifications do not alter the original dish in any way, so it can easily be changed
back to its original configuration, if desired.

* Why is it
important to pre-align the tripod?
When setting up their dish, most people make the mistake of holding the compass in
their hand, near the dish, and attempt to aim the dish in the direction the
compass is pointing. What they fail to realize is the dish is made of steel, which
attracts the magnetic needle, throwing off the heading.
This compass has been specifically designed
for use with the tripod above, which contains no steel materials, that
would effect the compass heading. It can still be used as a hand-held compass, but
will not work with any other tripod in this manner. Complete
instructions for pre-alignment are included.
